and like water off a duck's back ~

it's time Wesley - wakey wakey!

ZZZzzzz .... zzzz..

uh? time for what?
and what's this? 5 little scraps of paper?

it's time for the brooch give away draw, and time for you to choose the winner!

what! already? ....I was having a nice nap before someone woke me up

and what's this? I was expecting a field of paper stems to be choosing from

*scritch* *scritch*

hmmmm... where's my carrot treats and my oatcake then?

I can't go to work on an empty stomach, I need substance, I need...

 mmmm, num, num,

hey! I have an idea - how 'bout you throw them on my back and first off wins? since my mouth is full of oatcakes now

alrighty Wes, that's sort of strange but do-able

- here we go then -

and the winner is Christabel - Adelaide Hare! yay!

congratulations Christabel! that stag brooch will be on his way to you, drop me a line with your address and I'll get him down under :)

a big thank you to everyone who took part and for letting your bf and bffs and gerbils and everyone know about it, muchly appreciated

just out of the meadow is this little chap - he's in his forever home now
and he's the first little long furred tiny ornament I have made

I rather adore him

he has a very heart warming story of survival, against all odds.
shall post it next time ~ will make you smile ~ maybe even cry a little ~ he's based on Wesley :)

thank you

  1. Ahhh! I'm so excited! Thank you so much for picking me Wesley. I will be wearing my brooch whilst carrying my Arabella bag with pride. I will send you a message now Annette. :)

  2. Woohoo! Congrats Adelaide!

When I went gluten free the second time (I was in denial the first!) I said to my friend "Well, I can still have oatcakes, life is worth living." and she said "Well, if they come from a gluten free facility and --" "I. CAN. STILL. HAVE. OATCAKES."

Obviously Wesley is a wise bun with refined tastes. :)

  3. thank you Christabel, got it :)
the stag is looking forward to some hot Aussie sun!

Lorna - oatcakes are just totally delicious, and the ones I give to Wesley are made just down the road from us. I get him the organic type. They are made in the same factory as the normal type, but I reckon he would eat ANY type! ha ha :)
(even the uncooked 'plain raw oats' type!)

  4. Congrats, Adelaide!

Mr. Mick commends Wesley on his excellent conservation of energy while performing the task of choosing a winner. He says a bun should always get maximum treats with minimum effort expended. Having said this, he now needs a nap.

  5. Cute post ... ty for you visit today, I truly appreciate your sweet comments.
